Technological transformation has enabled Generation Z to access a wide range of digital legal resources more easily; however, such accessibility must be accompanied by critical thinking skills, source verification, and the ability to construct legal arguments systematically. This community service program aimed to strengthen law students’ competence in understanding and drafting legal opinions while fostering awareness of the critical and responsible use of technology in legal analysis. The program employed an educational-participatory approach through several stages, including needs identification, community organization, material preparation, presentation of legal opinion drafting techniques, interactive discussions, descriptive evaluation, and documentation. The results showed that the program strengthened participants’ understanding of the functions and systematic structure of a legal opinion, particularly in distinguishing facts, legal issues, legal grounds, analysis, conclusions, and recommendations. Interactive discussions also enhanced participants’ awareness that the use of digital legal resources and technology must be accompanied by verification, accuracy, ethical considerations, and professional responsibility. In addition, students’ involvement in organizing the program contributed to the development of participation, collaboration, and leadership within the academic community. This program provides a foundation for the development of more practical, adaptive, and sustainable legal education through case-based and technology-supported legal opinion drafting practices.
