Abstract

Organizational Structure and DesignThe arrangement and planning of an organization play crucial roles in how well it achieves its set objectives. The organizational structure dictates how tasks, power, responsibilities, and interactions among members are distributed, whereas organizational design is concerned with creating systems and processes that promote effective communication and coordination. This study aims to investigate how organizational architecture and configuration influence the attainment of institutional objectives. The approach taken is library research, involving a review of various theories, concepts, and earlier studies related to these topics. The results show that having a well-defined organizational structure along with a suitable design can enhance operational efficiency, improve coordination, speed up decision-making, and make better use of available resources. Conversely, an unclear framework and inappropriate arrangement may generate duplicated duties, authority conflicts, interaction barriers, and reduced organizational effectiveness. Therefore, organizations need to revise their frameworks and configurations according to shifts occurring within and outside the institution to maintain flexibility and competitiveness.
